Oregon ash is mainly found along the west coast, in Oregon, Washington, and California. It is the only native species of the genus Fraxinus in the Pacific Northwest. The fruits of this tree are dry, flat samaras (wing-like fruits) that are approximately 1 to 2 inches in length.
